How long does it take to move?

A.

The moving time depends on the volume of goods that need to be moved. In general, the Samson crew would arrive at your home or office at 9am and finish by 5pm or so.

What are your rates?

A.

We weigh a lot of factors before giving you an estimate. For example, the number of movers needed for your move, when you choose to schedule your move and so on. We will gladly give you an estimate for your move over the phone or via the internet, once you share a bit more about the nature of your move.

Why do you need to see my property?

A.

Before getting the ball rolling and giving you a quote, we need to see what and how much of it you want to move. That way we can plan accordingly in terms of manpower, equipment, timing and more.

Do you offer insurance?

A.

Samson offers you standard moving insurance coverage of $.30 or $.60 per pound per item being moved (depending on the region in question). You can also opt to purchase additional full coverage insurance for your move from one of our preferred third party insurance providers.

Do you insure a box that I packed myself?

A.

You are covered if there is definite damage to the box, or other evidence that damage was caused by the move and not due to improper packing. It’s recommended that you take advantage of our comprehensive packing services so that we take on responsibility for the well-being of your goods.

Do you unpack everything for me?

A.

Yes, once we unload all your property at the new site, we will unpack, install and place furniture, light fixtures and other such items in whatever arrangement you request.

Can I take my car with me?

A.

Certainly. Samson handles local, long distance and international car moves. Please get in touch with us so we can iron out the logistics of your car’s move. Likewise, we offer boat moving services.

What happens if the volume of the goods I wish to move changes?

A.

The Samson moving team is highly flexible, so we can adapt to volume increases or decreases. With regards to the bill, your invoice will reflect the changes in volume.

Can you arrange for some of my boxes to be delivered to me prior to the big move?

A.

Yes, we can arrange for you to have certain boxes delivered prior to the big move. Please discuss this matter with one of our consultants.

Do I need to be around when the crew is here packing up?

A.

No, there is no need for you to be on site while the team is working, although you must be on the premises upon the crew’s arrival, and at the end of the day to handle a few logistics.
